The Social History section of the site has been slowly growing over 2010- 2011 as I make my way through the local newspaper archives.
This part of the site is intended to be about the places people would meet and spend time away from their work and the clubs and groups that they took

Where possible I have used the census returns and trade directory's to add more details about the people mentioned this will hopefully prove helpful to those completing a family tree as is intended with the details about the burial grounds I have included. If you do find a connection to the town in your tree I would love to hear from you!
