The L'Atlantique
The L'Atlantique with Steele-Bennie tugs, Campaingner, Warrior Cheiftain and Wrestler. L'Atlantique arriving at Greenock on 13th March 1936 with the Dutch tugs Ganges, Wittezee, Nordzee and Indus . The 41,000 ton vessle was badly fire damaged and was on her way to Port Glasgow for scrap. To ensure that she did not impede the journey of the new Queen Mary on the 24/3/1936 she was moved well clear of the channel. This page last modified on Sunday, April 04, 2010
