Barmoss nursery school on Auchenbothie road was opened in the early 70's the building was purpose buitl for this use.

The building was removed in 2009 after the children were moved to new accommodation in Newark Primary school

Slaemuir Primary School which was situated in  Grampian Road. The school was opened in 1975 and closed in 2008 when the children moved to Newark.

The actual building was destroyed by fire in October that year.

Clunepark Primary School
This B listed building was designed by  David Barcly with work starting in 1886
It had 97 pupils when it closed in 2008
