This photograph was sent to me from Mr Reid. It shows a class from St John's school with their teacher Miss Kelly. Although Mr Reid did not have a date for the snap.

An old photograph (unfortunately not in good focus )of the primary Dept of the West Kirk Sunday School in 1946 or 1947.
The superintendent was Miss Alice Goldie.
Alice had a milliners shop in Ardgowan Street.

Jean Street class photograph
I was taken about 1941 and it is Jeanetta Bowies "Penny Buff" class and my Mother Betty Collins is second from the left in the front row with her "flick" Its the only picture I have of her as a child as I know people couldn't afford pictures in those days really.

I would just like to say that the photo from the Jean St School about 1941 had a nice surprise in it. My mother Phemia Love (now Hunter)Is located in the 2 nd row from the top on the left side. She has the “Wednesday Adams” things going on. I nearly fell over on seeing it!

This image was taken in 1892 and shows a class from Clune Park School.

We have one name for this image which is Elizabeth Smith Bellingham who went on to become Mrs Hopkins when she married Robert McKane Hopkins who you can read about here.
Elizabeth is third from left, 2nd top row with bows in her hair. Her grandson very kindly submitted the photograph and can be contacted through the site if you can add any further information.
