Newark Primary School
The new school which was built on the old site of Boglestone primary school can take upwards of 500 pupils and cost a total of £10.5 million to build, replacing Slaemuir primary, Boglestone primary , Highholm primary and Clune Park primary schools.
The name for the new school was decided by children and parents and the new badge which is included on everything from blazers to kit bags was picked as the winning design from a competition run through all the schools involved with the move.
It features a castle and a book as well as as a representation of the river Clyde with the uniform being grey with red piping.

Nursery children from Barmoss nursery, Slaemuir nursery and Higholm nursery will also be catered for by the new building.
Below are some photographs of the new building as well as the views overlooking the surrounding area that will keep the kids occupied when the teacher is not looking. A new crossing has been added on the main road and a drop off parking area was added in an attempt to ease traffic congestion at the site.

A new school to replace Highholm Primary, Slaemuir Primary, Clune Park and Barmoss Nursery has been built on the former Boglestone Primary School site. The new school opened for pupils on the 18th August and was officially opened by Prime Minister Gordon Brown on the 28th August 2008.
